On March 11th, 2011 - 4 years ago today - an earthquake and subsequent tsunami hit the Fukushima I Nuclear Power Plant in Okuma, Fukushima, resulting in one of the worst and largest nuclear disasters since Chernobyl in 1986.
Following on from the success of last year’s 9/11 National Schools Competition, SINCE 9/11 is once again offering students the chance to win a four day trip to New York next September 2015 which will include a visit to the 9/11 Memorial. One winner and two runners up will be selected from all eligible entries received in each category and all six students will receive a four day trip to New York. The Competition All you have to do is tell us ‘How did 9/11 change the world?’ We want you to use your imagination by sending us an original, creative and thoughtful piece of work. You can send us either a short film (3-5 mins, less than 75MB) or a 1200 word essay (approx).
